With the B.C. Energy Step Code, Canada’s new national building strategy, and many B.C. municipalities aiming to increase the energy efficiency of our building stock, Passive House Canada provides B.C. developers, designers and builders with opportunities to explore how to design and maintain such buildings affordably and effectively using the Passive House (Passivhaus) Standard. The standard is currently the only internationally recognized, performance-based standard for building for comfort, affordability and energy efficiency of all buildings, through all stages of design, construction, and livability. A Passive House-certified house or small multi-unit residential building complies with the energy-efficiency requirements of Step 5 of the B.C. Energy Step Code.
Passive House Canada offers courses of all levels across B.C. and elsewhere in Canada, from introductory level through to certification and specialized master classes.
