Join us on Wednesday, September 18th for a lively discussion on infill development. We will break down the conversation from three very different points of view: a developer, a consultant, and a city planner.
Luke Mari, from Aryze Developments, will start the conversation with a look at historic growth, the cost of not densifying, and the inter-connectedness of different housing markets.
Mark Holland, professor at Vancouver Island University and President of Holland Planning Innovations, will dive into the viability of infill housing and what challenges infill developers face.
Joaquin Karakas, Senior Urban Designer at the City of Victoria will share the City’s infill guidelines, as well as discuss urban design, neighbourhood “fit”, and positive examples from Victoria and elsewhere.
Moderated by Jordan Milne, President of GMC Projects and UDI Capital Region board chair, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss!
