About Securing Land
Securing Land is one of nine courses within UDI Capital Region’s RED Management Certificate Program, focusing on the process of finding, evaluating, and securing a development site. Led by experienced industry professionals, this course equips participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate the complexities of land acquisition.
Learners will explore strategies for identifying potential sites, considering factors such as location, market demand, and zoning regulations. Through practical examples and case studies, participants will develop the ability to conduct feasibility studies and assess a site’s value based on market demand and financial viability. The course also emphasizes effective negotiation practices, including building strong relationships with landowners and brokers. Participants will gain insights into the legal and administrative procedures involved in finalizing land acquisitions, ensuring a smooth transition of ownership.
By the end of the course, participants will possess the expertise to make informed decisions, negotiate effectively, and secure land for successful real estate development projects.
