Join us on Tuesday, December 3rd as we dive into Residential Rental Tenure Zoning (RRTZ) and the research findings of UBC’s Housing Research Collaborative on its implementation. This powerful new tool gives local governments the authority to enact rental tenure zoning and has the potential to change the housing landscape of our cities for decades to come. It is also the very first policy of its kind, leaving local municipalities without the opportunity to learn from other jurisdictions.
As we enter this uncharted territory, we have invited three panelists to shed light on how RRTZ, if enacted, can be leveraged to provide the best outcomes, while avoiding the worst unintended consequences.
Panelists include –
– Thomas Davidoff, Associate Professor and Director of Centre for Urban Economics and Real Estate at UBC
– David Hutniak, CEO of Landlord BC
– Dave Ganong, President of Canada ICI Capital (Victoria) Corporation
Moderated by Jordan Milne, CEO GMC Projects and UDI Capital Region Board Chair
