Brendan McEwan
Director of Electric Mobility & Low Carbon Strategies at AES Engineering

At AES, Brendan leads efforts to support electric transportation and zero carbon buildings. AES’ engineers have unparalleled expertise in the design of EV charging systems, efficient electrical systems, and solar systems.
As a policy-maker and planner, Brendan is proud to have contributed to some of the most progressive energy policies in North America. Notably, while at the City of Richmond, BC, he led the development of the world’s first requirement that all residential parking spaces be “EV Ready.” This policy has proved critical to enabling EV adoption and is spreading rapidly to other communities.
Brendan believes the efficient electrification of transportation, buildings, and industry, combined with the rapid shift to zero carbon electricity, is our most important opportunity to eliminate emissions, improve health, and increase the financial performance of our assets and communities.
